Transfer failed

Hi everyone,

I am trying to backup my files from an ecommerce store I am trying to begin powered by oscommerce.

I get this error:
[22:24:11] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
[22:27:31] Timeout (200s).
[22:27:31] Active Help: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/74
[22:27:31] Client closed the connection.
[22:27:31] Transfer failed.


What i'm doing is:

1. selecting directory with the files I need to backup
2. selecting "new local browser"
3. browsing to the folder to contain the backup
4. dragging it over

Is this the proper way to backup? I set the connection timeout to 200 sec.

Hi, you don't really need to download all the files, it's enough with make a backup of the db.

Really? The guys over in the oscommerce forums say that you need to do both.
