x64 Connection Refused

HI all. First post!

I have e-mailed my host about this and they have no idea what is going on.

I cannot connect to any FTP site. I always get connection refused.

I have tried swtiching between PASV and PORT modes, but this has not helped.

I am running the x64 version of Smart FTP, on Windows x64.

2 days ago, it stopped working so I turned off my windows firewall. Now it won't even connect with the firewall off. I have no other firewall software, or AV software running. I have AVG AV but I have turned that off.

This error is new, it was Connection Actievly Refused.

FileZilla, will not connect either.

I am lost. Any ideas?

Hi.

Mine ust works when it wants to work now, sometimes it works with the firewall up, sometimes it won't do anything. If it does not work then I restart my PC and try again, then it may or may not work then too.

Its really hit and miss at the moment, but then thats what we all expect when it comes to new Windows OS'

Maybe you've updated the firmware of your router or changed its configuration ...

has smartFTP come up with a solution for 64-bit windows yet?

i am really dependent on using FTP programs for work... and i have to double-boot XP and X64 JUST for that purpose. i would really like to just reside in a 64-bit environment.

i can't connect to my server even with anti-virus, firewall, and a whole slew of services turned off.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are no known problems with running the 32bit version on a Windows 64bit edition nor with the SmartFTP 64-bit version. The problems are very likely limited to your system/configuration.

do you have your windows firewall turned on/off? what is your internet connection? are you using a router?

this goes on forever. again, using the same settings/info with 32-bit windows smart ftp, i connect first try everytime.

Can you provide me a test account? Send me a PM if it's possible.
