CaPtitALIsAtioN BuG?

Hi guys. This is really frustrating - I've set the options to preserve case

and yet this still happens...

If I upload through another program (I tried on FlashFXP and via Internet Explorer ) I can't recreate the error.

Is there another setting (like a per server setting?) for case, or is this a bug?

Any help/advice would be much apreciated!

regards

John

Hello ..

Post the log of your FTP session.

Also include the "System Information" from the menu: Help->About dialog

Then post the raw directory listing of the remote directory containing the file.

Hmm, now it uploads foldernames correctly, but files, again, still switches to lowercase.

Unable to reproduce the problem. It's working fine.

Ah so it's not a bug then?

Is there another per server setting for capitlisation?

I'd rule out the server, since I it works fine if I drag and drop using Internet Explorer, and in the demos / trials of FlashFXP, CuteFTP and FileZilla, I again, can't reproduce the problem.

Should I just export my favourites, uninstall everything and try again with the latest version?

Post the log with the newest build again. Also include screenshots the same way you did before.

Thank you.

hmmm, I've been using SmartFTP a couple of years now, and hadn't (until someone just pointed it out to me) that there are, in face, per server settings. I've not changed the server settings, and everything works fine.

I just couldn't fathom why the settings were saying one thing and the behaviors was completlely the opposite!

Maybe something more intuitive in the menu/interface for n00b users in a futre build perhaps?

Thanks for your patience.
