Hi, I'm kind of new here and I wanted to switch to using SmartFTP, and I was wondering what is the difference between a 64 bit and 32 bit client?

The 64-bit version only runs under a 64-bit Windows OS, like Windows XP Professional x64.

oh how i wish that were true! i would like to hear from those who have smartFTP WORKING with x64 so i can find out how to properly configure mine!

You don't need do anything special, I am using SmartFTP x64 on my amd 64 under Windows XP x64 for months without troubles, in fact I also have tried SmartFTP x64 on Windows XP x64 sp2 beta to be sure of correct working and it also works without troubles.

Working fine here, too. There's nothing special to "configure".
