login problem

oh my!
i'm sure you've heard this a million times...
but here's my log:

so ANYWAY.
the data connection IS in passive mode.
i also tried connecting to other servers and i didn't have a problem.

i read a little bit around here and saw that perhaps the server i am trying to connect to is down...

well, i guess i am a tad confused because i can access all my files via the web.
i mean obviously i know you don't know what goes on in every server in the world ;P
but is there a way for the files to still be accessible even though you're not able to connect to the server itself?
i don't know a lot about servers so i have no idea how that works...

any insight would be much appreciated!

I'm also having problems to connect to this server, it seems to be a configuration problem on the server side. That is, the FTP server software is misconfigured, the HTTP server software seems to work fine, which is why you can access (read) your files via the web.
