No connection

Topic #18925 with no connection, I know and sry, but knowledge base and search did not help.

The specific problem: I cannot connect to any server _with a login_ (i.e. no files are shown).
But ftp.smartftp.com (as anonymous) works fine with SmartFTP.

The strange thing is that IE and Filezilla do not work too, but Opera, UltraFXP and other can connect with a login.

I tried to change passive and timeout in SmartFTP and IE with no luck.
Changed directory listing options several times -> no effect

I checked XP Firewall and it is deactivated.

Sygate works well.

My laptop with nearly same software config works with all ftp clients and browsers.

It seems that there is a connection between SmartFTP and IE, so if someone has a solution for the IE, it might work for SmartFTP too.

Hi, [[[TRYPASVPORT][/TRYPASVPORT]][/[TRYPASVPORT][/TRYPASVPORT]]][/[[TRYPASVPORT][/TRYPASVPORT]][/[TRYPASVPORT][/TRYPASVPORT]]]

I tried to change passive and timeout in SmartFTP and IE with no luck.

Can you post a full log with another client? also you can try to use Limit local port range and force server ip for pasv mode.
