Two minor annoyances

1) the nag screen. as a home user, i can use the product for free, so the nag is not really needed. any hack to turn it off for good?

2) the autoconnect feature. i don't want the client to automatically reconnect to the last used ftp server. however, i can't locate an option to turn this off.

No. Even as a home user, you will have to buy a license in order to get rid of the nag screen.

Uncheck the option to restore the workspace on startup in the "Interface" section of the settings.
