hope I checked the other forum parts thoroughly enough to avoid any double entries on this issue. In case not, I apologise.
By updating to the latest version (2.0.933.10) my antivirus program (AntiVir PE classic - up to date Def.File) reported code detection of a generic dialer within the setup.exe while the archive unpacked itself to the temporary installation folder.
I made sure this was not due to a corrupted installation file by downloading the program from a different location once again. To the same effect.
Since this is the first time I encountered such an incident I became anxious and decided to rather wait for confirmation of a SmartFTP official that it's just a bug in conjunction with my antivirus proggy.
