I have also tried entering 'LIST -aL' through the command line... the same thing happens. This happens with both passive and active connections.

If anybody could lend an explanation and a possible fix, I'd be very grateful.

FWIW I don't think I have any firewalls running.

Please upgrade to the most recent SmartFTP 2.0 and post the logs of both active and passive mode connections if it still fails.
