How can i remove the logout feature.

Hi,
After a while, smartFTP "Times out" 300 secconds. It's getting a little annoying, because that is about as long as it takes me to fix an error in a script. Then when i come to upload it, smartFTP has disconnected. If there is no way to disable this, is there any to change the time limit, to something like 800 secconds, insead of 300??

This is a server-side setting. After being idle for a certain amount of time, clients get kicked. You need to configure your server (not SmartFTP) to change that.
