I can't seem to connect to any FTP servers using SmartFTP.
This is the message that is showing on SmartFTP:
SmartFTP v1.5.991.22
Resolving host name "mp2se203"
Connecting to 147.110.44.144 Port: 21
An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.
Client closed the connection.
Active Help: https://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/58
Cannot login waiting to retry (5s)...
Continue to login attempt 2...
I looked at the logs, and this is what I found:

[20051222 08:59:36] An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.

[20051222 08:59:36] Cannot login waiting to retry (5s)...
The Knowledge base on smartftp.com states that this is normally caused by a timeout. In my case, the connection is cut instantly (as you can see on the timestamps above).
I've also tried other FTP programs (CuteFTP and 3dFTP), but they do the same thing. However, when I connect to an FTP site using IE6, it is able to connect without problems. Using IE6 for FTP sucks, though.
My hunch is that something got fouled up in my OS (Win XP Prof). I was able to FTP a couple of months ago without problems, then this thing happened. I've been working with IE6 mostly since then, but the nature of my work now requires me to use FTP more and I don't wanna put up with IE6 anymore.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
