This application has failed to start because the application

I have the following problem: installation seems to go well, but when I try to run the program a dialog box pops up with this message:

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

zvone: Do you have the XP SP1 or SP2 installed? If yes, install the latest SmartFTP version from:
https://www.smartftp.com/download
and try again.
