Problem

Cause

There are various causes for this error. To get the log file for details:

  1. Download SmartFTP.msi
  2. Open a command prompt (cmd.exe)
  3. msiexec /i "SmartFTP.msi" /L*V "msi.log"

Solution

Try to run the installer without a user interface:

  1. Download SmartFTP.msi
  2. Open a command prompt as Administrator (cmd.exe)
  3. msiexec /i "SmartFTP.msi" /qn
