LastPass
Two steps are required to use LastPass with SmartFTP:
For folders which are shared with you, the Show Password access privilege must be given otherwise the site will not be available to you.
SmartFTP | LastPass | ||
Protocol | Host | Username | Url in LastPass |
FTP | myhost.com | user | ftp://myhost.com/ |
FTPS | myhost.com | user | ftps://myhost.com/ |
FTPS | ftp.myhost.com | user | ftps:/ftp.myhost.com/ |
SFTP | myhost.com | user | sftp://myhost.com/ |
WebDAV | myhost.com | user | http://myhost.com/ |
WebDAVS | myhost.com | user | https://myhost.com/ |
SSH | myhost.com | user | ssh://myhost.com/ |
Amazon S3, Google Drive, OneDrive protocols are not supported.
Given a favorite, SmartFTP searches the LastPass password vault for a matching site. It uses several strategies:
It uses the Url and Username property in the LastPass site entry to identify a corresponding site. The Url property must be set according to Url mapping.
It looks for a text form field in a LastPass site with the name SmartSoft.SmartFTP.FavoriteItem.Id and the favorite id (e.g. {D9F65CFA-D79D-4410-95D1-F7A395707330}) as the value.
