The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing

Problem

When you start SmartFTP you get the following error message:
The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer.

Cause

The Visual C++ Redistributable failed to install.

Solution

1. Download the Visual C++ Redistributable:
   
   For Windows x64 (64-bit)
   Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio (64-bit)
   For Windows x86 (32-bit)
   Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio (32-bit)
   
   
2. Run the vc_redist.x64.exe (64-bit) or vc_redist.x86.exe (32-bit) and select Install
