How To setup the 1Password credential provider

Follow these steps use 1Password with SmartFTP:

1. Setup

1. In SmartFTP, go to the global settings:
   menu: File - Settings
2. Go to the 1Password settings dialog
3. Download the 1Password CLI tool (op.exe):
   Windows (amd64) for Windows 64-bit.
   Windows (386) for Windows 32-bit.
4. Extract the .zip to a folder on your computer. E.g. C:\Program Files\1password
5. Click on the ... browse file button in the dialog. Select op.exe from the folder in 4.
6. Click on the Sign-In button
7. Enter the login (email), secret key and password in the Sign-In dialog.
8. Wait for the sign-in process to complete.
9. Click Test to verify that the setup was successful
10. Click OK to save the changes

2. Create a new connection in SmartFTP

1. Go to the menu: File - Connection
2. Select the Protocol
   
3. Enter the Host
4. Enter the Username
5. Click on Properties
6. In the Login group at the bottom, select 1Password in the Provider combo box
7. Click OK to save the changes
8. Click OK to connect to the server
9. Enter the username and password into the Login dialog.
10. Click OK
11. A new 1Password Login item is automatically created and associated with the SmartFTP favorite.

Limitations

• Amazon S3, Google Drive, OneDrive protocols are not supported.
• Existing 1Password logins that were not created by SmartFTP will not be used
