host name and connecting to IP inserted

everything is up-to-date .. everything is correct on the other end .. (verified after seeing this as a response to the same problem:

the host name & IP & port are all correct

seems the problem is on this end

fresh install on a different computer got the same results..
turned off firewall completely .. nothing changed

so .. any ideas ?

I had spoken with tech support at our webhost after I had done some searching for solutions to the "Error=0x80004005" (one of which was your "Wrong hostname/ip/port" response to someone else.. which was why I went to our webhost first)

and they stated hostname/ip/port were correct..their suggestion was for us to use a different client .. simple enough for them to suggest since it's not money they'd spent

so .. anything else for us to try ?

this was the result from trying with no firewalls up tonight(this morning)

we have some updating to do and can't without getting this issue resolved
