Recursive Chmod

Post by hardipe » Wed Jul 01, 2009 7:12 am

Possible bug:
When you don't actually change an item's chmod, but only tick the "Apply to subfolders and -files too", it doesn't do so. If you change the chmod, it does so. So, in order to get it done recursively you have to change the chmod at least once. Usually twice, because you have to change the folder back to what it was before the recursion hack.

Request:
A separate recursive chmod for files and folders. Stripping the Read permission from Others is useful for folders, so the web users can't see the folder contents, but when it's applied to files as well then it's not always desirable.

Please check the latest version:
https://www.smartftp.com/download

There is a new "Apply To..." button in the Properties dialog.
