SmartFTP is heavy

I think SmartFTP is a great ftp client, with many great advances features.

But I wish, there was also a lightweight version of the client available. Often I only need to upload/download a single file, and then I use other ftp software, because SmartFTP takes too much time and memory to load up on my machine (which does not run so fast).

SmartFTP has been optimized to use very little memory and resources for what it offers. You can close everything you don't need (Remote Browser, Local Browser, other panes) to reduce the memory footprint. If you have a lot of favorites, deleting the ones you don't need also helps. SmartFTP works best on Windows 7 / Windows 2008.
