Explorer Exception

Posted by Roger Garstang on 09 February 2011 - 11:39 PM

My Firewall/Antivirus used to block some type of a hook attempt between SmartFTP and Windows Explorer as a malicious activity. I figured whatever it was doing should be ok, so allowed it within the last couple days. Problem is about 50% of the time now when I close SmartFTP Explorer crashes with an unhandled exception. SmartFTP worked fine before without it, so what exactly does it do and can the exception be fixed if it is needed?

Try this:

If the problem persists:
1. Post the system information from the menu: help->About dialog
2. Uninstall your software/firewall antivirus product
3. Provide a crash dump as described here: http://www.smartftp....orts-f2594.html
