When opening SmartFTP today to pick up files in my folder, I recieved an error message that said, "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine." I am trying to find out if the host machine is my machine or a machine for the company I am trying to connect to. I am not really certain what other information to give, so if you have questions to help me answer this, please ask away. I am guessing by a definition of host that I found in the "Knowledge Based" information that the host machine is probably at the company I am trying to connect to.

Thank you in advance for your information!

Hi ..

There are few things you can try out.

1. Go to Settings->Transfer
Uncheck the following options:
Complete Time
Show All Files
Resolve Symbolic Links

If it doesnt work. Go to Settings->Connection->SSL
and change the Data Connection Mode to 'Clear Data Connection'

If you are connecthing through a favorite item, you have to make the changes in the favorite item settings, otherwise in the global settings.

Regards,
-Mat
