Hi, there!

As I understand, the current (.973) does support unicode, i.e. can display foreign characters. But I'm still scratching my head on how to do this ... displaying foreign characters such as Chinese, Japanese .... I can't find any button to click, or any related entries in the menu bars.

I'm not talking about to modifying the menu bars etc to foreign characters. I just want to see the remote filenames/folder names in foreign chars. I'm pretty sure the remote servers are ok since all other users with other clients or local OSs can see the corresponding foreign chars.

Anyone can kindly give me some hints? Thanks!

You need to install the suplemental languaje support on win xp (i don't renember the name on win 2k) and you need a ftp server that allows unicode (for example raidenftpd 2.4)

I think I have both of the items you mentioned ready, but still can't read unicode servers:
1. I do have IME packs on my XP/2000 machines
2. Many others can see unicodes from the same server, but I can't.
