How to add a "pause" between each file in queue?

No this is not possible as it is uncommon requirement. If you just want to upload the same file (or a folder with files) every x hour, this is already possible:

I want to upload all the files in a directory to a ftp server daily.  The number of files varies from day to day.  Is there a simple way to put a pause between the upload of each file?  i.e, after each file is uploaded, wait another hour before sending the next one in queue?

Thank you!
