I am attempting to upload around 10x 2-12GB files (FakeFactory's mod for Half-Life 2), however the remote keeps reseting the connection, and pause/resume of the file list restarts the upload from 0mb.

I have managed to upload a 780mb file to this provider duing the same time frame i have been trying to upload these GB sized files

Is there a setting i can use on the registered home user that might be able to keep the connection alive longer?

Thanks!

I had a similar problem. I turned out to be a limit set by the receiving server. My files were image files so I saved them as jpg's the oly way I can think of is using a series of zip files which can then be re-stitched together. Hope this helps

I'll see what i can do about the transfer list when i try and upload again tonight.

In terms of making the file smaller, i would love to upload them as part files but i dont have SSH access to use putty, or the smart ftp SSH functionailty to stich them.

Looks like the file is failing CRC checks after 2-4hrs of upload...

For some reason the server believes that there is a data error:
[04:09:21] Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Try to contact the server admin for assistance.

I contcated my webhost, and they advised to use another file client like ytr- i have managed to upload 12GB's over the last 48hrs with no CRC errors, so i suspect either my install is broken, or the SmartFTP client is having trouble with CRC hashes on very large files?

The problem is not with SmartFTP. Maybe your software firewall causes the problem.

I am having the same issue.

Downloading a bunch of files from websites. All the small files (less than 10 Mb), no problem. Files over that size, transfer will try to start, but gets disconnected.

When trying a different FTP solution, no problems. All files get transfered.

Firewall on/off doesn't fix the issue.

I am using 4.1.1289.0

Hi Guys,

After a while i started hvaing trouble with FileZilla (The other client that was recomended) i brought a E.O.P., and managed to upload the remaning 23GB with no trouble, i suspect that my wireless connection to the router was the trouble.
