Hi MB,

I have rewnewed my license key, please advise - l'm still having the same problem.
I've updated to the latest stable release and the issue persists.

Also it doesn't happen with all of my FTP accounts only the ones that are all hosted on teh same specific server, but there have been no changes (to my knowledge) on that server's FTP protocol.

It's a server problem. But you can try the following:
1. Go to the favorite properties
2. menu: Favorites->Edit Favorites
3. Locate your favorite (Quick Connect folder)
4. Right click on the favorite and select Properties
5. Go to the FTP->Connection dialog
6. Set the Force PASV IP to Enable

Mat

Hello MB,

This did not fix the problem. This isn't effecting only a single server. I've got 2 different dedicated servers with 2 different hosting companies that appear to be giving me the same problem. The only similarity that l can see between the two servers is: they're both running ProFTPD 1.3.2 Server. I have tried restarting the FTP services on the server(s) (both) and that didn't do anything. Also l'd like to note taht l can still access these FTP accounts using other FTP software, such as the FireFTP addon for firefox with no problem, the issue seems to be isolated to SmartFTP.

I don't understand what could have happened because these connections were working fine as of Morning and we hadn't made any changes to the software settings, nor the server itself. Should l perhaps try uninstalling and re-installing SmartFTP?

Please advise,

Works now for my main FTP account!
Can you give me a little insight as to what may have caused this? I don't understand why it all of a sudden needed to have this setting changed to access my FTP server?

It's a bug with the FTP server software.
