Hello ..

Works as expected on the test systems I tested it. You said the 2nd file doesn't open. Is the item added to the transfer queue?

Regards,
Mat

And what does its status say? And can you post the log of the item.

Are you using the default settings in Notepad++ or did you change something?
Does it happen with every file?

Mat

Sorry I can't reproduce it and we have tested it on about 10 different systems here. Do you have another computer you can try it?

Mat

I do have a laptop, but that's running Vista64 It works fine on there.

I will have to try to find a windows XP machine. I'll try tomorrow.

Thanks for your help so far.

You might have the same application installed on both XP computers which causes the problem. Maybe you can create a movie of what you are doing exactly and we will something we didn't consider before. You find some screen capture applications in the readme at: http://www.smartftp....dMe-t12769.html

How do you use the Notepad++ editor. Did you add the file extensions to the Remote Edit settings dialog? And then do you select Notepad++ from the Edith With submenu in the context menu?

Mat

I have notepad++ has both the default viewer, the default editor within windows for the file types as follows:
.css, .ini, .js, .log, .php, .txt, .html

In SmartFTP It's the default editor for the following:

.html, .module, .php, .tpl, .xml

so far I have tested .html, .php, .css files and I get the same problem.

Thanks again, for your time and help.

Regards,

Andy

We didn't make any changes related to this problem since we are unable to reproduce it. We have run some tests with more than 20 installations in the meanwhile. My guess is that it is related to something you have installed.

You can setup a VM using VirtualPC and then try to reproduce it there. Then you can send us the VM and we can debug the problem and tell you what causes it.

Mat

Ok, I'll try and setup a VM system and recreate the problem. Many thanks,
