Hello,

After having problems with my computer slowing down for the last month, I noticed (after receiving several low virtual memory notices, and reading up on it) that SmartFTP v2.5.1008 seems to have taken up about 312MB of memory after running for 9 hours. I searched on the forums and saw that this issue has been addressed in the past and the solution was to upgrade to the next latest version. Is this still the answer or is there something else I can do?

Here's a snapshot of my system info and of the task manager:
+- System -----------------------------
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
Service Pack 4 (Build 2195)

CPU Speed : 996 MHz
Total Memory : 383 MB
Free Memory : 51 MB

+- SmartFTP ---------------------------
Version : 2.5.1008.6
Time Stamp : 2007-11-08 01:32:37
Platform : x86

+- Application DLL --------------------
sfFTPLib.dll : 1.5.11.5
sfFavorites.dll : 1.0.4.6
SmartHook.dll : 1.0.2.2

+- Language ---------------------------
SmartFTP.exe : 2.5.1008.6

+- Internet Explorer ------------------
Version : 6.0.2800.1106

+- Winsock ----------------------------
Winsock : 2.2

Yes please install the latest version from:
http://www.smartftp....get/SFTPMSI.exe

and tell us what SmartFTP is doing during the 9 hours. Are you using the Transfer Queue? How many items do you have in the Transfer Queue? How many were processed?
Do you have Recurrence enabled in some of the items?

Regards,
Mat

I have partly rewritten the way the log is saved/stored in the Transfer Queue items. Could you please retry it again with the latest version (.24):
http://www.smartftp....get/SFTPNSI.exe
or
http://www.smartftp....get/SFTPMSI.exe

Thank you.
Regards,
Mat
