Program won't start

Problem

SmartFTP will not start or crashes immediately on start.

Solution

After each step, try to start SmartFTP:

1. Install the latest version of SmartFTP
   Download
2. If you have an old language addon installed:
   Uninstall SmartFTP (and reboot if you are prompted to do so)
   Manually delete the %ProgramFiles%\SmartFTP Client\ folder.
   Install SmartFTP 
3. Delete the registry settings KB: How to delete the registry settings
4. Rename the application data folder:
   Rename "%appdata%\SmartFTP\Client 2.0" to "%appdata%\SmartFTP\Client 2.0 Backup"
