How To edit files in a text editor

  1. Click on the Windows Start button > Programs > Accessories > Notepad.
  2. In Notepad, click File from the menu bar > Open
  3. Change the "Files of Type" option from "Text Files(*.txt)" to "All Files (*.*)".
  4. Browse to and select the desired file.
  5. Click OK.
