Program hangs after launching

Recently installed the latest version 4.0.1245 and it hangs just after launching it. Icannot get it to unhang by uninstall & reinstall. I also uninstalled, deleted the SmartFTP registry directory in HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software, reinstalled, but to no luck. Still hangs, any ideas how to help?

What operating system are you using?
Did you allow/unblock SmartFTP in your software firewall / antivirus product?
