The Program simply does nothing!

If you use the arrow keys between the local browser and the remote browser does it work?
To open a local browser go to the menu: File->New Local Browser.

If yes, can you post the Samba version you are using and the Samba configuration file?

BTW: This is a known problem with network shares but we were never able to reproduce it and we have tested it at least with 50 different servers in the meanwhile.

And then please try the d&d operation and send the logs to support(at)smartftp.com

I'm having the same problem with drag-and-drop uploading not working.
And yes, I am copying the files from a samba share mounted onto my
Windows XP workstation.
Any advice?

az

The latest version with the bug fix is available at:
http://www.smartftp.com/download
Tip
If you want to remove the "This page has an unspecified potential security risk" dialog when you drag&drop files from the network share to Windows Explorer please proceed as following:
- Start Internet Explorer
- Go to the menu: Tools Internet Options
- Go to the Security dialog
- Select the Local intranet zone
- Click on the Sites button
- Click on the Advanced button
- Enter the folder of your samba/network share. For example: file://1.2.3.4 or X:\
- Click the Add button
- Click OK a couple of times

drop problem only started recently. Maybe when I upgraded to SP3? Or
maybe when I upgraded to SmartFTP 3.0?

I had that problem yesterday. Updloaded the new version and now it is moving the files from the transfer list but they are not appearing on my website. The command log does not show any data transfer happening...
thanks
