No, there is nothing!
The Program simply does nothing!
I stopped and started the TransferQueue many times,
it has no effect.

Hello ..

If you use the arrow keys between the local browser and the remote browser does it work?

To open a local browser go to the menu: File->New Local Browser.

Mat

Hello Mat,

if i use the blue Upload-Arrow - all works fine.
It seems only drag and drop does not work.

Are you trying to upload the files from a network share?

Yes, because all of our projects are shared on our development-Server.

What kind of network share is it? Samba share?

If yes, can you post the Samba version you are using and the Samba configuration file?

Mat

What operating system is running on the development server?

BTW: This is a known problem with network shares but we were never able to reproduce it and we have tested it at least with 50 different servers in the meanwhile.

Can you enable debug logging as described here:
http://www.smartftp....logs-f2613.html

And then please try the d&d operation and send the logs to support(at)smartftp.com

Thank you

Hello,

I'm having the same problem with drag-and-drop uploading not working.

And yes, I am copying the files from a samba share mounted onto my
Windows XP workstation.

Any advice?

thanks,
az

AlphaZeta: Can you enable debug logging (as described in my last reply) and send it to support(at)smartftp.com? Do you have SP3 of Windows XP installed?

Thank you

Bug fixed. I was finally able to reproduce it. The problem only occurred on Windows XP SP3 + Internet Explorer 7. It was related to the security zones of (Internet) Explorer.
The latest version with the bug fix is available at:
http://www.smartftp.com/download

Tip
If you want to remove the "This page has an unspecified potential security risk" dialog when you drag&drop files from the network share to Windows Explorer please proceed as following:
- Start Internet Explorer
- Go to the menu: Tools Internet Options
- Go to the Security dialog
- Select the Local intranet zone
- Click on the Sites button
- Click on the Advanced button
- Enter the folder of your samba/network share. For example: file://1.2.3.4 or X:\
- Click the Add button
- Click OK a couple of times

Regards,
Mat

I just emailed the logs. Yes, I am running Windows XP SP3. The drag and
drop problem only started recently. Maybe when I upgraded to SP3? Or
maybe when I upgraded to SmartFTP 3.0?

thanks,
az

hi,

I had that problem yesterday. Updloaded the new version and now it is moving the files from the transfer list but they are not appearing on my website. The command log does not show any data transfer happening...

thanks
Julie
