I've been using smartFTP for years but have now got a strange problem.

I use smartFTP to connect to two domains from two locations. Both domains are on the same host but different servers. At work i can connect to both domains, while at home i can connect to only one.

When trying to get onto the second account I get the below connection progress.

    SmartFTP v1.5.988.49

    Resolving host name "ftp03.powweb.com"

    Connecting to 66.152.97.20 Port: 21

    Connected to ftp03.powweb.com.

    Active Help: http://www.smartftp.com/support/kb/index.php/45

    Client closed the connection.

Automatic failover of data connection mode from "Active Mode (PORT)" to "Passive Mode (PASV)".

It stops at the same point everytime, I've tried in PORT and PASV modes its always the same and my other domain will connect in either PORT or PASV.

Does anyone know anything about this problem? its getting very frustrating and could cause me to leave my favourite ftp software for one that allows me to connect to both domains.

I just went through the login again and followed both servers at they tried.... it looked like server one was in PASV while server two was in PORT mode although the connection setting was PASV.

I dug a little deeper and found that somehow my server two "bookmark" had been set to connect in PORT. I've changed it to PASV and can now connect... Woohoo
This has been bugging me for days... I need to learn to trouble shoot better. :-)

Thanks.
