can't create a new file I'm unable to create a new file by richclick->new->file ..

Hi Guys,
I'm using SmartFTP on a new Vista computer everything works great however when l try to right-click create a new file remotely the screen just sort'a jumps but no file is created? I'm not sure what's going on. I am able to use "commands->New->File" from the toolbar and get a new file created just fine; however the right-click feature is so much quicker and more natural for me. If anyone can help, l'd sure appreciate it!
