How can you do the following?
I want to make a default list of favorites for our company. I know you can export the favorites to a .txt file but I can't import this file. You can only import from ws_ftp or a few other ftp clients. Am I missing something? Thanx in advance Acto Informatisering B.V. Ronnie Berkhof r.berkhof@acto.nl (The Netherlands) |

And just using the *.dat file doesn't work either?
You can find Favorites.dat in your Data File Path (Map gegevensbestand) (with me that is C:\Program Files\SmartFTP\Data\Files). Where you set your Data File Path (Map gegevensbestand) to can be found in Menu: Tools -> Settings -> General (Menu: Extra -> Instellingen -> Algemeen) There's more info at the Knowledge Base about your issue (http://www.smartftp.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3738) By the way, let me just ask you, what FTP client is your company using:?: I had heard that there apparently isn't another way (yet) to import favorites with FTP clients that do not support the SmartFTP *.dat or *.txt file... hopefully it's almost on top of the developer's 'ToDo' list. I'm just thinking of an alternative, you could of course also load the *.txt file in an FTP application that does support the *.dat/*.txt file and save it in a different format. I honestly don't have any experience with other FTP clients, so I'm not sure which one is capable of doing that. |
